Beschreibung

Diese dritte Gambensonate C. Ph. E. Bachs ist formal mit den drei Sonaten für Gambe und obligates Cembalo von J. S. Bach vergleichbar, hat aber alle Merkmale des empfindsamen Stils. Das Thema des zweiten Satzes ist eine der ergreifendsten Aussagen Bachs mit seinen expressiven Intervallen, seinen Dissonanzen, seiner starken melodischen Linie und seinen häufig und wirkungsvoll gebrauchten Appogiaturen. Unsere Neuausgabe basiert auf dem Berliner Autograph, dessen Faksimile vollständig beiliegt. Die Sonate ist gut auch auf der Viola spielbar, wie die ebenfalls verwendete Brüsseler Abschrift des Stückes zeigt.
