Description
Numerous flute sonatas by the Graun brothers have been preserved. The present, previously unpublished sonata is particularly interesting and appealing. There are two sources for it, which differ significantly in the flute part with regard to ornaments and variants. Therefore, we present both versions in the score and in the separate flute part, juxtaposed with each other. This gives performers the opportunity to select and create their own version. The sonata, which shows clear signs of the sensitive style, is of medium difficulty. In addition to the separate bass part, our edition includes a second score with a continuo realisation.
